Canoeing from Goito to Rivalta

From the natural river to Valli del Mincio wetland, among groves of reeds, herons and lotus flowers

Getting on the water:
At the Goito Canoeing Club, in via Pedagno. After some kilometres, by Casale di Sacca, there is a barrier (a concrete dam that regulates the water of the Diversivo canal) which can be seen from quite afar. There, a transfer is necessary: go ashore on the right, immediately before the mouth of the canal, closed by a small sluice gate; walk up the shore with your canoe and, after a few metres, get on the water again on the opposite shore, in the small canal which bypasses the dam and leads again to the river after about 300 metres.
